Farmpark!

Here are some pictures from our visit to the Farmpark yesterday.  We only did the animal petting areas since JD is too young for the other science parts.  He liked seeing the animals, and he pet a baby goat and a pony.  It was a fun place to go, and I'm sure we'll go back when JD is older and will appreciate more of it.

This calf was born the night before we went to the park...

JD pointing to a sheep...

This sheep was very interested in us...

Piglets!  I pet a couple of them but JD didn't.

JD did pet this kid. : )  We didn't know the rules about what animals you can pet, so I asked this guy.  He said, "If you can reach it, you can pet it." After talking for a few minutes about the park, he went into this pen, and he picked up this baby goat for us to see.  It was about a week old, and it was soft like a puppy.  JD seemed to like seeing it...

JD sitting in a Western style saddle with Daddy's help...

He's too small for pony rides, but not too small to say "hello" and pet one.

Look, Mommy - more baby goats!
