Labor Day Weekend (Post # 3 of 3)

On Monday, JD tried carrots for the first time.  They were very messy but he seemed to like them.  He's wearing his new bib from Grandma Pati - it's like a smock, and it wipes clean when he's done.  Pretty fancy and just what we needed.  On Monday night, we had Max & Aileen over for dinner - Chef John made chicken, corn, and clams on the grill while Sous Chef Kristin made twice baked potatoes.  Our guests provided dessert - fresh apple pie from an orchard in Michigan.  JD met them when he was a few weeks old, so he was much more active during this visit.

Notice his foot in the air - he's usually kicking his legs while eating in his booster seat.

JD, the Carrot Pirate!

Wow - that's a mischievous grin!

Looking innocent with Auntie Aileen...

Gimme your chin!!

Max is all business when holding JD...

It was actually cold on the roof when we ate dinner, so JD had to wear a hat...

What a sweet pair of Bolden Boys!
